I. You Are Special
The Micromecs are a group of little wooden men. They were all carved into shape by Eli the carpenter. Each Micromeccan looks different. Some have big noses, some have big eyes; some are tall, some are short; some wear hats, some wear coats. But they were all carved out of the same people and all lived in the same village.
The Micromecs do only one thing every day, which is to give stickers to others; to those they admire, like and have the ability to put a star sticker on, and to those they don’t like and don’t have the ability to put a gray dot sticker on. Fatty the Wooden Man was covered with gray dot stickers, felt worthless, had low self-esteem and self-pity, and was afraid to go out.
The world tells the child, “If you are smart, beautiful, and talented, you are special.” But when he came to his creator, Eli said to Fatty, “You’re special because you’re just special and don’t need any conditions.” Of all things, there is only one that needs to take root in a child’s heart, and that is the one truth that every child needs to know, “In Mommy and Daddy’s eyes, you are precious.”
II. You Are My Child
Boxes and balls, two things that are becoming popular in the village of MicroMek these days. All the people of Weimek have chic balls and colorful boxes. All of them ooh, except Fatty.
He doesn’t want to be ostracized, so he finds a way to fit in with everyone. Whatever it took, what everyone else had, he had to have too. He didn’t realize, however, that the price he would pay would be so high.
His creator, Eli, took advantage of some random opportunity to remind him of a truth: You are special, not because of what you have, but because you are my child.
You can tell your children the same thing.
III: Love the Way You Were Meant to Be
The king wanted to adopt a child, the older siblings were trying to show their talents and were too busy preparing to share any more time with anyone, their little sister who knew nothing had nothing to show and his older siblings were not willing to help her. The little sister had only her kindness and love.
The king came to the town in order to dress up, and his busy brothers and sisters were too busy to take care of themselves, only the kind little sister greeted him and accompanied him. In the end, only the little sister, who knew nothing, became the king’s child.
Why? The king said: I love you just the way you are, not how smart or capable you are, just give me your time, your love and your kindness with the way you are.
So every mom and dad should say to their children: I love you as you are.
IV. What You Need
Imagine you are in an arid desert where every drop of rain is as precious as pure gold. In such a dry land, there is a village whose inhabitants need water more than any of us to stay alive.
Fortunately, Toby lives nearby, and he owns a well, the only source of water in the desert, which contains a constant flow of clear water. And, both he and his son were willing to give water to those in need for nothing. Because he believed that water was a gift that everyone could have for nothing. So, everyone in the village loved him and called him “Water Master”.
However, when the water master suddenly goes away, the villagers have a chance to realize that, in addition to giving them water, he has also given them an even more precious gift – a gift that everyone needs.
